1. Open a brokerage account - You may choose any brokerage account of your choice, however do take note that your local brokerage account may not provide the best trade commissions for overseas stock. Personally, I use Interactive Brokers as my main broker, and Thinkorswim as my secondary. You can also consider Saxo Capital.
2. Familiarise yourself with the platform - Do familiarise yourself with the platform so that you will not be deterred to use it when you are investing. You can open a DEMO account first to get familiar with the various functions.
3. Fund your brokerage account - This will be your initial investment into the stock market. It does not have to be a large amount, any amount is fine. However, due to transfer charges, I would generally recommend a seed capital of at least USD$3,000. If that is not possible now, you can just start with any amount.
