Updates on HOOD, V and FICO

Robinhood

HOOD did well overall. Revenue up 15% while Net Income up 3%.

However the stock dropped because the crypto revenue dropped 47% to 134m

Business fundamentals are still strong but the market was pricing in perfection and got a small miss instead.

Visa

V just delivered their strongest revenue growth since 2013.

Revenue: $11.2B, up 17% YoY (beat estimates of $10.96B)

Non-GAAP EPS: $3.31 vs $3.10 expected

Payments volume: $3.7T, up 9%

Fresh $20B buyback authorized, on top of the $7.9B they bought back this quarter

V also raised full year guidance

This is exactly why we own Visa. It is a toll booth on the global economy. Every swipe, every cross border transaction, every digital payment runs through them. They are leaning hard into stablecoins and AI agentic commerce, which means they are not just defending their moat, they are widening it.

I'm bullish

FICO

This is one that I have been holding for a long time and they had a great quarter

Revenue: $691.7M, up 39% YoY (beat estimates of $642.4M)

Non-GAAP EPS: $12.50 vs $10.91 expected (14.5% beat)

Scores revenue: up 60% YoY, with B2B up 72%

Largest ever quarterly buyback: $605M

Raised full year revenue guidance to $2.45B

FICO raised the price on its mortgage score, and mortgage volumes are picking up.

This is one of those rare businesses with a near monopoly that quietly compounds in the background.
